Meet the faces behind the wine
At the end of the 80s, the Secastilla Valley began to gradually forget an ancient tradition, as its people migrated to the cities. With the beginning of the new century, a new generation ready to leave their mark, decides to rescue 15 hectares of inherited vineyards, some of them almost a hundred years old. This is how Bodegas Obergo was born, narrating the stories of the old vineyards. Do you want to know more about them? Here are your answers to our test:

Let's learn more about the faces behind this wine, through our questionnaire:
1. What do you like the most about everyday life in your winery?
Time seems to happen more slowly in rural surroundings. The human connection that exists in a winery, thanks to the wine, gives meaning to the work.
2. Guilty pleasure - a wine that you always have on hand (from another winery)
I like to have a bottle of Cellier des Dauphins Reserve from the Rhône close by. I really like how well the fruit is and the way they work the Grenache.
3. If your winery were representative of a party, what holiday would it be?
We would be San Juan.
4. If you could choose any famous / historical person to represent the winery, which one would you choose?
I'm going to allow myself a license: Bodegas Obergo reminds me of the Province in The Lord of the Rings. The landscape is idyllic.
5. If you could have one super power, what would it be?
Can fly. Today there are drones and we already know what a bird's vision is, but I think there is nothing like being able to experience it in person.
6. In which non-winemaking publication (magazine / blog) would you like to be published?
GQ or Traveler would be good candidates.
7. Bonus track - What's the craziest thing you've done for work / wine?
That is a secret between the wine and me. However, I think that going to eat at a restaurant for its wine knowing that we did not like its food, is a common sin that all wine lovers have committed.

Wine Personality Test
Do you want to know him better?
1. If wine were a famous / fictional character, what would it be? Why?
There are many light aging Grenache-based wines in Spain and more specifically in Aragon. If I had to pick a fictional character for this wine ... I'd pick Neville Longbottom from the Harry Potter saga. Apparently, Neville is a magician like any other, until the moment of truth arrives and he shows all his courage and inner strength to overthrow the enemy. Caramelos is similar, it can be shown as the most humble of all wines. until you uncork it and you are surprised by its depth, its fruit, its purity.
2. What if it were an animal? Why?
Candy has the personality of a penguin. For one reason only: hardly anyone has seen him in person yet, but everyone has a very good idea of him, he likes him!
3. The reason for the label and the name.
The label is a ballerina that melts with grapes in purple, pink colors. It is an allegory of fermentation, representing it as a dance that melts grapes into flying skirts, skirts with aromas of violet and red fruits.
4. Your match. What would be your perfect companion?
The Candy match are cheeks.
5. Is it more beach or more mountain? Why?
Mountain. Their personality is largely determined by the height, the mountains that surround them, the people.

To make a good beef carpaccio, the quality of the meat is essential. That is why we are going to use a very fresh beef tenderloin, without a drop of fat. We are going to propose the most basic recipe, with a citronette sauce, which is a vinaigrette where the vinegar is replaced with the lemon. Ideal to accompany this vinazo.
