Meet the faces behind the wine
We present Godelia, a winery that was born in 2009 by the García Rodríguez family, motivated by their love of nature.
His idea was, and still is, to create a new agronomic concept: to make a wine according to traditions through a sustainable process. A young, diverse and highly qualified team that continues with that goal of achieving perfection.
Godelia's trajectory for more than two decades is already part of the modern and more recent history of Bierzo, and today its wines with a marked Atlantic character represent a unique way of understanding this land. His project is the materialization of a dream: a winery in El Bierzo that creates value and future for the region, a legacy through its wines.

The wine
Friday is the dreamer of the Godelia family; a young Mencía, thirty-year-old, with a youthful, carefree and fun spirit. A good way to discover Mencía is to do it through this young and easy-to-consume red, characteristics that also make it the ideal choice for chatting. Assemblage of Mencía grapes from their youngest vines from plots with orientations, exhibitions and microclimate with their own personality.
In the glass it presents a pure and young version of Mencía. A whole cherry red wine with a medium layer and a violet edge. Intense on the nose with aromas of fresh wild fruit along with floral aromas and scrubland, with a slight mineral nuance. In the mouth it is tasty, fresh and elegant, slightly marked by soft tannins and with a long and persistent finish.

Leon jerky salad, with mango, cherry tomatoes and parmesan flakes.
Ingredients
200 g of Leon jerky
A handle
20 Cherry tomatoes
1 bag of lettuce mix
A small wedge of aged cheese
Extra virgin olive oil
Balsamic vinegar
Shall
Elaboration
We start our recipes with jerky, with a rich, fresh and healthy salad, ideal for spring or summer.
Prepare all the ingredients for the salad: cut the jerky slices into pieces like one bite; peel and dice the mango; Cut cherry tomatoes in half; Make slices of the cured cheese wedge (from sheep for example).
We first add the lettuce mixture in a source or bowl (they can also be lamb's lettuce, spinach ... to taste), then we add the rest of the ingredients, season to taste and mix everything well.
For the dressing, be generous with the extra virgin olive oil, add the balsamic vinegar to taste and just a pinch of salt, since both the jerky and the Parmesan already have their salty point.
